GOLD LEAF ELECTROSCOPE

Aluminum rectangular case with clear glass sliding front and ground glass back. The lower end of a brass wire is attached to a gold leaf, and the upper end is attached to a brass disc. This wire is fitted to the top of the aluminum case through an insulating bush. The apparatus has an aluminum or wood base. A notched scale is provided against which the gold leaf moves. An earthing socket is provided on the side of the case.
