GOLD LEAF ELECTROSCOPE

An aluminium rectangular case has a clear glass sliding front and ground glass back. A brass wire has a gold leaf attached to the lower end and a brass disc at the top. This wire is fitted to the top of the aluminium case through an insulating bush. The apparatus has aluminium or wood base. A notched scale is provided against which the gold leaf moves. Earthing socket is provided on the side of the case.
